2008-2009 YOUTH PRODUCTION:
There was an old lady who lived in a shoe… This holiday season, The Green Room Community Theatre will be presenting Babes in Toyland a musical based on the operetta by Victor Herbert. This enchanting tale features many storybook characters that come to life on stage. The story follows the children of the Widow Piper, also known as the little old lady who lived in a shoe with her many children, Mary, Tom, Jack, Jill, Bo Peep and all the rest. They embark on an adventure through the Forbidden Forest to save Christmas. This delightful musical features memorable songs such as Toyland and March of the Toy Solders. With a cast of over 40 children from Catawba County this is the perfect holiday treat for the entire family.
